Crash
LITCHFIELD –– A Cosmos woman was injured in a one-vehicle roll-over accident Thursday night near Litchfield.
According to the State Patrol, Tonia Roufs, 34, of Cosmos was driving a 2000 Buick Regal south on state Highway 22 when the vehicle failed to maneuver a turn and rolled several times off the road and into the ditch.
Roufs was taken to the Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield with non-life-threatening injuries.
A passenger, Cindy Burnell, 34, of Atwater, had no apparent injury.
The road was dry at the time of the accident, which was reported at 7:26 p.m. According to the State Patrol’s report, alcohol was detected.
The Litchfield Police Department and Meeker County Sheriff’s Department assisted the State Patrol at the accident site.
Stolen vehicle
WILLMAR - A 35-year old woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a vehicle that was reported stolen from Renville County and recovered in Kandiyohi County. The woman may face additional charges of drug possession and driving while under the influence, according to a preliminary police report.

WILLMAR - A 33-year-old Pennock man made a first court appearance Friday on a fugitive from justice charge from North Dakota.
The state of North Dakota reportedly issued a warrant after Jesus Eduardo Gomez failed to register as a sex offender.
Gomez was granted a public defender Friday and is being held in the Kandiyohi County Jail pending his next court appearance Feb. 3.
According to the criminal complaint on the fugitive from justice charge, the Grand Forks County Sheriff informed the Willmar Police Department that they had issued an active warrant for Gomez.
