WILLMAR - A hit-and-run property damage accident was reported at 4:59 p.m. Tuesday in the 3200 block of 15th Street Southwest. A vehicle reportedly broke four mailboxes, leaving behind a light and a bumper from the vehicle.

WILLMAR - A 20-year-old Granite Falls man alleged to have attacked a victim with a stun gun and beer bottle this October in Willmar pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of second- and third-degree assault.
David Medellin Jr. is scheduled for a jury trial beginning April 23.
Another suspect tied to the assault, Joel Filiberto Medellin, 24, of Willmar, also pleaded not guilty to charges of second- and third-degree assault and is scheduled to make his next court appearance April 6.
According to the criminal complaint, a man reported that David Medellin had texted him, asking him to come outside of a residence on Seventh Street Northwest in Willmar.
After the man went outside, David Medellin allegedly charged at him and struck him with a stun gun. As the man tried to move away, he was hit in the face with a beer bottle and knocked to the ground.
He once again tried to run away and was struck in the face by Joel Medellin. David Medellin then punched the victim multiple times and kicked him in the face, according to the criminal complaint.
As the assault ended, David Medellin and Joel Medellin ran north on Seventh Street to a pickup and left the area.
