DWI west of Bellingham
WALTER TOWNSHIP — Charges are pending for a motorcyclist involved in a crash with another motorcyclist around 3:32 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Lac qui Parle County Sheriff’s Office news release.
According to the release, deputies arrived at the intersection of 330th Street and 131st Avenue west of Bellingham in Walter Township to find a male motorcyclist on the side of the road with possible life-threatening injuries.
The man was transported by Ortonville Ambulance and was later airlifted by a Life Link helicopter to a Fargo, North Dakota, hospital.
Deputies learned that a second motorcyclist was involved who had suffered minor injuries.
The second driver was arrested for felony criminal vehicular operation and fourth-degree driving while impaired.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Ortonville Ambulance and Bellingham first responders and firefighters assisted during the incident.
Two injured in Litchfield crash
LITCHFIELD — Two people were injured around 11:56 a.m. Tuesday after a driver failed to yield to another on state Highway 24 at Meeker County Road 34, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
According to the State Patrol, Marilyn Renee Dvorak, 76, of Litchfield, and her passenger, Isabelle Shirley Matteson, 89, of Litchfield, were traveling eastbound on Highway 24 in a 2015 Chevrolet pickup when Dustin Lee Guza, 39, of Litchfield was attempting to turn southbound on County Road 34 in a 2019 Toyota Camry.
According to the report, Guza failed to yield to Dvorak's vehicle. Dvorak and Matteson were transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield for non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol report does not list any injuries for Guza.
Both Matteson and Guze were wearing their seatbelts and it’s unknown if Dvorak was.
Road conditions were dry and alcohol was not involved, according to the State Patrol.

Stolen vehicle arrest
WILLMAR — A 27-year-old woman was arrested around 6:59 p.m. Wednesday following a stolen vehicle call on the 700 block of Park Avenue Northwest.
Arrest
WILLMAR — A 41-year-old man was arrested around 12:54 p.m. Thursday on the 1500 block of Becker Avenue Southeast.
According to the report, the original call was for an ex that was at the residence and was not allowed to be.
Stolen wallet
WILLMAR — A wallet was reported stolen around 12:51 p.m. Thursday on the 400 block of 10th Street Southwest.
According to the report, bank cards in the wallet were being used.
Paintballs
WILLMAR — A resident reported around 12:40 a.m. Thursday that their apartment window on the 400 block of 15th Avenue Southwest was hit with paintballs.
According to the report, there was no damage at this point.
