Stolen vehicles
WILLMAR - Two suspects were arrested Thursday in Paynesville for allegedly stealing a vehicle in Willmar.
The Dodge Dakota pickup truck was reported stolen at 11:34 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast in Willmar. The keys were left inside of the vehicle, Willmar Police Department Captain Michael Anderson said.
The Minnesota State Patrol located the stolen vehicle about 30 minutes later along Minnesota Highway 23 near state Highway 55 in Paynesville.
The suspects, a 29-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, were transported to the Kandiyohi County Jail.
The man remained in custody as of Thursday evening on pending charges of motor vehicle theft and tampering with a motor vehicle, according to the jail’s online roster. BLOMKEST - A vehicle reported stolen Wednesday in Blomkest was recovered in Lake Lillian.
The Chevrolet pickup truck was reported stolen around 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Main Street Northeast in Blomkest. The keys were apparently inside of the vehicle at the time of the alleged theft.
The vehicle was later found around 8 p.m. Wednesday parked behind an abandoned residence in the 14900 block of Kandiyohi County Road 4 in Lake Lillian.
Willmar Police Department Captain Michael Anderson said no suspects have been identified.
Arrest
WILLMAR - A 37-year-old man was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 1100 block of Pleasant View Drive Southeast for allegedly violating an order for protection. He remained in custody at the Kandiyohi County Jail as of Thursday afternoon, according to the jail’s online roster.
Criminal damage to property
WILLMAR - It was reported around 4 p.m. Wednesday that someone had deployed a fire extinguisher inside of a vehicle parked in the 700 block of 13th Street Southwest.

WILLMAR - Marco Auerlio Deleon Jr., 23, of Willmar, pleaded guilty Tuesday to two felony charges of violating a no contact order.
As a result of the plea agreement, a felony charge of pattern of stalking conduct will be dismissed upon sentencing Aug. 31.
The criminal complaint alleges that the charges stem from incidents reported May 22 and May 25 at a Willmar residence.
Deleon allegedly went to a woman’s residence on those dates and stalked her.
Court order prevented him from having any kind of contact with this woman.
Willmar PD IDs businesses in sting
WILLMAR - The two Willmar businesses recently failing alcohol compliance checks have been identified.
Grizzly’s Grill N’ Saloon and Walmart reportedly failed the compliance checks conducted July 8 and 9 by the Willmar Police Department, Captain Michael Anderson said.
According to a news release from the department, officers conducted checks at 23 businesses this year.
The Police Department conducts the checks annually.
If a violation is found, both the individual selling the alcohol and the business are fined.
Fines may increase for repeat offenders, according to the release.
