Arrest

WILLMAR — A Willmar man was arrested early Wednesday morning after threatening a couple with a knife and cutting the husband, according to the Willmar Police Department.

According to Willmar Police Capt. Michael Anderson, officers were dispatched around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday to the Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital emergency room after being advised that a caller was on their way to the ER with someone who had been cut with a knife.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 23-year-old Willmar woman who said a 26-year-old man that was known to her and her husband had showed up at her residence earlier in the evening.

Following the man's arrival, the man threatened both the woman and her husband with a knife.

The woman fled and her husband, a 28-year-old man from Willmar, confronted the man with the knife. The husband was cut and the man fled the scene.

The injury was non-life-threatening and the man with the knife was arrested a short time later. He is currently held at the Kandiyohi County Jail for two counts of second-degree assault.

Warrant arrest

HUTCHINSON — A 29-year-old man was picked up by the Hutchinson Police Department around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday for a Kandiyohi County warrant on the 10 block of Franklin Street Southwest.

Car window broken

WILLMAR — A resident reported their car window broken around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 1200 block of First Street South.

According to the report, the window was broken on a car that had been parked at the address overnight.

Window damaged

WILLMAR — A window was reported broken around 6:55 a.m. Wednesday on the west side of a building on the 700 block of First Street South.

According to the report, someone threw rocks at the window and damaged it.
