Man injured after ATV crashes into semi
FLORIDA TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A 78-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after crashing into a semi truck while on an ATV around 11 a.m. Monday on Yellow Medicine County Road 14 south of the 240th Avenue intersection in Florida Township west of Canby, according to a Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office news release.
According to the release, Paul Fokken was returning from getting his mail and crossed the roadway before crashing into the side of Myron Ruesch’s, 57, semi, which was traveling north on County Road 14.
Ruesch attempted to stop before Fokken crashed into the passenger side.
Fokken was taken to the Sanford Canby Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Ruesch was not injured.

The ATV sustained major damage and the semi sustained very minor damage.
The crash is under investigation by the Yellow Medicine Sheriff’s Office.
The Canby Police Department, Canby Sanford Ambulance and Canby Fire Department also responded to the incident.
Arrest
WILLMAR — An 18-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges around 10:45 p.m. Sunday following a report of 20 people fighting on the 1000 block of Lakeland Drive Southeast.
According to the report, the man was in a tan Chevrolet Impala and was arrested for third-degree assault, possession of dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Car window smashed
WILLMAR — A car window was reportedly smashed with a hammer around 7:30 p.m. Sunday on the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast.
According to the report, the owner of the car said the person took off running after smashing the window but told law enforcement he didn’t want anything done.
Theft
WILLMAR — A laptop was reported as stolen around 7:20 a.m. Monday on the 500 block of Third Street Southeast.

WILLMAR — Law enforcement received a report of harassing and threatening emails around 2:05 p.m. Monday on the 900 block of 16th Street Northeast.
