Kerkhoven man dies after May 9 accident
KERKHOVEN — A Kerkhoven man died Monday following a May 9 accident on County Road 35 north of Kerkhoven in Swift County.
According to a Swift County news release, Derek Krieger, 22, was ejected from the Ford pickup he was driving; he was the only person in the vehicle.
Krieger was a firefighter for the Kerkhoven Fire Department.
There will be a “drive-in” funeral at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, in a hay field north of the family farm near Kerkhoven, according to his Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home obituary.
Arrest
WILLMAR — A report of a woman who was out of control around 8:45 p.m. Monday led to the arrest of a juvenile on the 800 block of Park Avenue Northwest in Willmar.

Employee theft
WILLMAR — A store reported around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday that an employee was stealing from the store on the 700 block of 19th Avenue Southeast in Willmar.
Flag pole stolen
SPICER — A resident reported around 1:10 p.m. Monday that their flag pole had been sawed off and stolen from the 14000 block of Kandiyohi County Road 5 Northwest.
Trespass
WILLMAR — A man was verbally cautioned against trespassing around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday at a property on the 800 block of Litchfield Avenue Southwest in Willmar.
According to the report, he was told not to come back for one year and he left without incident.
