Renville semi driver uninjured in crash

MONTICELLO — A Renville man was involved in a vehicle crash around 12:37 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 94 near Monticello, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the report, Timothy Jay Link, 56, of Renville, was westbound on I-94 when he began to slow down his 2005 International semitractor and trailer for traffic in front of him. The semi was rear-ended by a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Donald Eugene Tinney, 57, of Fort Morgan, Colorade.

While the report does not show any injuries to Link, Tinney was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis by a Life Link helicopter with serious injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and alcohol was not involved, according to the State Patrol.

Vehicle rollover

HAWICK — A one-vehicle rollover was reported around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday on the corner of state Highway 23 and 240th Avenue Northeast.

According to the report, one vehicle was identified as being involved in the rollover and entrapment is listed.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue Squad responded to the incident.

Scam

WILLMAR — A caller reported they were scammed out of $3,000 on eBay around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 4300 block of 11th Avenue Southeast.

Counterfeit bills

WILLMAR — Law enforcement received a report around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday of counterfeit bills on the 2800 block of First Street South.

Forged checks

WILLMAR — Forged checks written on business accounts were reported around 1 p.m. Tuesday on the 1000 block of Ninth Street Southeast.

Power tools stolen

SPICER — Dewalt 12-volt and 20-volt tools were reported stolen around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday on the 14000 block of Skyline Drive. According to the report, the tools had “ForbCon” written on them.

Headlight theft

WILLMAR — Some headlights were reported stolen around 2:10 a.m. Wednesday on the 400 block of Highway 12 Bypass Southwest.

Chicken theft

WILLMAR — A man and a woman were reported to be stealing a chicken around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday from a business located on the 1300 block of Fifth Street Southeast.
