Driver arrested after vehicle ends up in yard

WILLMAR — A 28-year-old man faces charges of third-degree driving while impaired and hit and run property damage after his vehicle struck a parked vehicle and ended up in a yard at 1:29 a.m. Saturday on the 1300 block of Willmar Avenue Southwest. Three occupants were in the vehicle.

Driver arrested after pursuit

WILLMAR — A Willmar Police Department officer executed a PIT maneuver, or pursuit intervention technique, to stop a vehicle around 3 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Gorton Avenue and 19th Street Northwest. The 41-year-old driver was arrested. The suspect had accelerated his vehicle after being signaled to pull over for a traffic and swerved on the road and hit the curb on the other side of the road before the PIT maneuver was executed.


WILLMAR — Three TLC brand televisions and two Shark self-driving vacuums were among items reported to have been taken in a burglary reported Saturday at a residence on the 1200 block of Dana Drive Southeast in Willmar.
