Two-vehicle crash Sunday injures Robert Stoneburner, 68, of Paynesville.

ST. CLOUD — A Paynesville man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on state Highway 23 in Richmond.

According to the State Patrol a 2015 Ford Explorer driven by Katherine Ann Johannes, 67, of Richmond, was going west on Highway 23 and made a lane change that caused the vehicle to collide with a 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante driven by Robert David Stoneburner, 68, of Paynesville.

Stonenburner was taken to CentraCare in Paynesville with non-life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the State Patrol.

Johannes, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol report.


Roads were wet at the time of the incident, which was reported at 12:17 p.m. Sunday. The Cold Spring Police Department, Richmond Fire 7 Rescue and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
