Man airlifted after rollover crash

WILLMAR — A Milan man was airlifted from the scene of a one-vehicle rollover crash Friday morning west of Willmar.

A 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by Fores Sepinon, 27, of Milan, was traveling south on 105th Street Southwest and didn’t stop at the stop sign at 15th Avenue Southwest, according to a report from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle entered the west ditch and overturned. Passenger Skiller Ponoun, 34,of Milan was airlifted from the scene. His condition is unknown, according to the report.

The crash is under investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Office news release.

The Pennock Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Centracare Ambulance, Life link Air Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted at the scene.

Willmar man injured in Saturday crash

WILLMAR — One man was injured late Saturday morning when a semi rear-ended a pickup on Highway 71 and Kandiyohi County Road 3 in Whitefield Township near Svea.

A 2000 Ford F150 pickup driven by Michael Leonard Dolezal, 65, of Willmar, was traveling south on Highway 71 and making a left turn onto Kandiyohi County Road 3. A 2017 Volvo semi tractor/trailer driven by Paul Charles Dykshorn, 29, of Renville, was also traveling south and rear-ended the pickup, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

Dolezal was transported to Carris Health-Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not considered a factor, the State Patrol report said.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

Thefts

WILLMAR — A shotgun was reported stolen from the back seat of a truck in the 1900 block of 22nd Street Southwest in Willmar. The owner said the vehicle was locked, and the driver's side window was smashed. The theft was reported Saturday morning.

WILLMAR — A Bushnell Rangefinder, Vortex 8x42 binoculars, a game station computer tower and other items were reported stolen in the 900 block of 17th Street Southwest in Willmar. The theft was reported Sunday morning.

Arrests

WILLMAR — A 39-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning in the 1900 block of First Street South for using a driver's license that was canceled-inimical to public safety.

WILLMAR — A 21-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 900 block of Litchfield Avenue Southwest on obstruction and drug charges.

WILLMAR — A 19-year-old man, two 20-year-old men, and a 22-year-old man were arrested Saturday evening in the 1400 block of First Street South after a report of a fight.
