Vehicle theft

WILLMAR — The owner of a vehicle reported the theft of his vehicle while he stepped into a store for about five minutes on Thursday. The man told police he entered a store on the 400 block of First Street South in Willmar at just after 4 p.m. and as he walked out five minutes later saw someone driving away in his vehicle and turning east on to Becker Avenue Southeast.

Theft

WILLMAR — A man who lost his checkbook on Nov. 15 reported on Friday that checks had been made on his account to a business in Willmar and another in Belgrade.

Graffiti

WILLMAR — Willmar police reported that new graffiti was found Thursday under the First Street Bridge, on the walking bridge at High Avenue, and at the Kandiyohi County Fairgrounds in Willmar.

Apartment ransacked

WILLMAR — The landlord of an inmate in the Kandiyohi County Jail reported on Thursday that he discovered the apartment of the inmate has been ransacked. The address was not provided.

Woman injured in Renville County rollover

FAIRFAX — A 20-year-old Comfrey woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Minnesota Highway 4 north of Fairfax in Renville County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Molly Jo Carnell was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer south on Highway 4 when it left the roadway and rolled at approximately 3:49 p.m. on Wednesday.

She was treated at the health care facility in Sleepy Eye. Alcohol was not a factor, according to the accident report, and she was wearing a seat belt.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office and State Patrol responded to the accident.
