* Juan Jasso Jr., 31, of Willmar, pleaded not guilty Thursday to a felony charge of fifth-degree assault - domestic abuse.
The court ordered a criminal history investigation and set a Dec. 14 hearing.
The Willmar Police Department arrested the defendant after responding to a third-party report that Jasso had entered a residence in the afternoon of March 1 on the 200 block of Augusta Avenue Southeast in Willmar, and was engaged in a profanity-laden argument with the resident. The complaint states that there was an order for protection prohibiting his contact with the individual.

The complaint states that Jasso has two prior convictions for domestic abuse involving violence.
Youth arrested in assault
WILLMAR -- A 17-year-old Willmar youth was arrested for possession of marijuana, assaulting a police officer and disorderly conduct shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday at the Willmar Senior High School. The suspect allegedly assaulted an officer after a bag containing what was believed to be marijuana was found in his possession.
Runaway arrested
SPICER -- A 15-year-old youth was arrested for driving without a license and underage consumption after he was reported to have taken a vehicle from his parents as an apparent runaway. The youth was reported to have left with the vehicle before 3 a.m. Friday. Officers spotted the vehicle and youth and arrested him around 10 a.m.
Vandalism
WILLMAR -- A vehicle was keyed and its tires slashed while parked on the 1400 block of Fifth Street Southwest in Willmar, its owner reported Friday morning.
Accident, property damage

SPICER -- An accident is under investigation that was reported at 3:51 a.m. Friday on the 10700 block of Kandiyohi County Road 9 Northeast near Spicer. A vehicle left the road and struck a TDS Telecom Box at the site. Residents near the site notified authorities that a man who said he was a passenger in the vehicle had knocked on doors seeking assistance. He was not seriously injured.
