Man to hospital after fight, police investigating
WILLMAR -- A man was taken Saturday evening to Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered from a blow to the head with a baseball bat.
Willmar police were called to the fight, at Regency Estates West, around 9:15 p.m. Saturday. There is an ongoing investigation into the incident and the identity of the person suspected in the assault, according to Sgt. Michael Anderson.
Assault
NEW LONDON -- An 18-year-old man reported he had been assaulted around 11 p.m. Saturday outside of the New London American Legion. The man reported that the people attempting to break into his vehicle had also assaulted him.

Theft
WILLMAR -- The theft of a global positioning system device was reported around 1 p.m. Sunday at Kennedy Elementary, 824 Seventh St. S.W. The caller reported the GPS had been stolen from their vehicle while it was parked at school on Saturday.
WILLMAR -- The theft of a scanner was reported around 8:45 a.m. Sunday along the 1500 block of Seventh Street Southwest.
WILLMAR -- The theft of a flag and pole from a garage was reported around 6 p.m. Saturday along the 600 block of Ninth Street Northwest.
SVEA -- The theft of a 14-carat gold solitaire ring was reported around 2 p.m. Friday along the 1600 block of 127th Avenue Southeast.
Arrests
WILLMAR -- Two Willmar men, both 23, were arrested for disorderly conduct around 9 p.m. Saturday at the Kandi Mall, 1605 First St. S. The arrests came after police were called to the mall parking lot regarding a fight.
WILLMAR -- A 29-year-old Willmar male was arrested for trespassing around 11 p.m. Saturday at Super Wal-Mart, 700 19th Ave. S.E.

WILLMAR -- A 20-year-old Willmar man was arrested on charges of driving while impaired and possessing more than 1.4 grams of marijuana in a vehicle around 1:20 a.m. Saturday along the 1600 block of Upper Trentwood Circle.
SPICER -- A 37-year-old Spicer man was arrested on charges of assault and terroristic threats around 11 p.m. Friday along the 7400 block of 158th Avenue Northeast.
Property damage
HAWICK -- Slashed tires were reported around 7:45 a.m. Sunday along the 15000 block of 232nd Avenue Northeast.
WILLMAR -- Slashed tires were reported around 1 a.m. Sunday along the 2100 block of 24th Street Southwest.
WILLMAR -- Damage to a glass door was reported around 9:45 p.m. Friday at KFC, 929 First St. S.
Burglary
KANDIYOHI -- A home burglary was reported around 12:40 p.m. Sunday along McDermott Avenue. The caller reported a home had been broken into and trashed.

Fraud
PENNOCK -- Fraudulent charges on an account were reported around 1:25 p.m. Saturday along the 5900 block of 120th Street Northwest.
Fire calls
WILLMAR -- The Willmar Fire Department was called around 1 a.m. Saturday to 813 Seventh St. S.W. to extinguish two vehicles on fire. The department was on the scene for about one hour.
WILLMAR -- The Willmar Fire Department was called around 9 p.m. Friday to 404 16th Ave. S.W. on a call regarding smoke coming from an apartment. The source was burned food. The department was on scene for about 90 minutes.
