Cosmos man injured in motorcycle wreck
ATWATER -- Duwayne Kiecker, 54, of Cosmos suffered serious injuries Friday when his 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle left Kandiyohi County Road 4 as he was proceeding southbound and attempted to make the curve at County Road 20 Southeast.
A passing motorist reported finding Kiecker at 9:34 p.m. Friday at the site, confused and injured. An air ambulance was launched but rerouted and Kiecker was transported by the Atwater Ambulance to Rice Memorial Hospital.
He was not wearing a helmet. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department and Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene.

OLIVIA -- The drivers of two vehicles were injured when they collided at 3:31 p.m. Friday at an uncontrolled intersection seven miles south of Danube.
Gary Wertish, 59, of Renville was northbound on 300th Street and Paige Molacek, 18, of Pennock was eastbound on 760th Avenue when they struck each other, according to the Renville County Sheriff's Department. Molacek's vehicle rolled as a result of the impact.
Both drivers were transported to the Renville County Hospital in Olivia. The extent of their injuries was not known.
Fights
BELGRADE -- Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputies responded to a report at 1:05 a.m. Sunday of an altercation at a residence on the 13000 block of 240th Avenue Northeast, Belgrade. An 18-year-old male suspect faces possible assault charges.
SPICER -- Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputies also responded to a report of a fight at 1 p.m. Sunday at Melvin's on the Lake, South Lake Street, in Spicer.
A 24-year-old male was arrested and faces possible charges of assault and disorderly conduct.
WILLMAR -- Willmar police officers were summoned at 2:15 p.m. Friday when a fight broke out among acquaintances in front of the Office Max store on First Avenue South.

Lost horse riders
SUNBURG -- Three young horse riders were found and sent in the right direction after their parents reported them missing shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday.
The riders, two 9-year-old girls and an 11-year-old boy, had been gone for about four hours. They were spotted along the 2500 block of Kandiyohi County Road 1 Northwest near the county line. The riders said they had been lost. A sheriff's deputy provided water for their horses and directed them home.
Thefts
WILLMAR -- Forty pheasants were reported stolen Saturday night. from an outdoor enclosure at a residence on the 4700 block of 60th Avenue Northeast, Willmar. The pheasants had an estimated value of $600.
NEW LONDON -- A Dell laptop computer was reported stolen Sunday from a camping site at Sibley State Park.
SPICER -- A purse holding a Nikon Cool Picture camera, money and other personal items was reported stolen at 3 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of South Lake Avenue, Spicer.
ATWATER -- A semi-ramp valued at $300 was reported to have been stolen Friday on the 1100 block of 195th Street Southwest, Atwater.

SPICER -- A pontoon trailer was reported stolen Friday from a residence on the 6600 block of 140th Avenue Northeast, Spicer.
Vandalism
WILLMAR -- The owner of a 2002 Ford Explorer reported that it has been spray painted while parked Saturday night on the 400 block of Lakeland Avenue Southeast.
WILLMAR -- A pellet gun was used to damage windows on a garage on the 700 block of Northwest Seventh Street in Willmar, it was reported Saturday.
WILLMAR -- A window was broken on a residence on the 300 block of Southwest Trott Avenue on Sunday when two men, believed to be in their 20s, began yelling for a non-existent girlfriend at the address and banging on a window.
Youths charged with shooting from truck
NEW LONDON -- Two males, ages 18 and 14, were apprehended at 8:09 a.m. Monday after a property owner reported seeing them shooting from the back of a pickup truck on land near the intersection of 12th Street and Timber Lake Road.
The two suspects were believed to have been shooting at a wild turkey.

Police respond to apparent burglary
WILLMAR -- Police officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress when a man was seen cutting a screen and attempting to gain entrance to an apartment at 2:09 a.m. Saturday at a residence on the 300 block of 14th Street Southeast in Willmar.
Officers discovered that the male intruder was an acquaintance of the occupant. She declined to press charges.
Woman on wheelchair
WILLMAR -- Officers stopped an out-of-town visitor riding her wheelchair at noon Saturday on South First Street in Willmar. The 46-year-old woman said she felt the sidewalk was not safe.
Intoxicated man
WILLMAR -- A man was transported for emergency care after he was found passed out and extremely intoxicated at 6:14 p.m. Sunday at 19th Avenue Grill and Lounge, 500 19th Avenue Southeast, Willmar. He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.449 when tested with a breathalyzer at the scene, more than 5 times the legal limit for driving.
