NEW LONDON -- Behind a sweep at doubles, Redwood Valley edged New London-Spicer 4-3 Monday in a non-conference dual.
The contest also had big implications for the upcoming Section 3A tournament as the two squads are battling for home match in the first round.
Ana Johnson-Jackie Christenson (No. 1), Veronica Fischer-Kim Kohlhof (No. 2) and Liza Schoffman-Allison Buckley (No. 3) all won in straight sets at doubles for Redwood Valley (12-7).
The Wildcats (7-3) picked up all three of their points in singles as Paula Beckermann (No. 1) and Megan Seipel (No. 3) won in straight sets and Alyssa Wachter went three sets at No. 2.
