REDWOOD FALLS -- In the Redwood Valley School District, voters overwhelmingly voted for two ballot questions, according to the unofficial results issued by Superintendent Rick Ellingworth.
Citizens in the district voted 1,422 to 181 to renew the current $500-per-pupil levy for 10 years and voted 1,199 to 402 to approve a second levy of $400 per pupil, also for 10 years.
The second question, the $400 levy, was contingent on the first levy getting voter approval.
The $500-per-pupil levy generates $757,000 per year and the $400 levy will bring $600,000 in local revenue to the district.
