Three elected to Buffalo Lake-Hector School Board
BUFFALO LAKE -- Joyce Buboltz, Kenneth Anderson and Brad Oldre were elected Tuesday to the three open seats of the Buffalo Lake-Hector School Board.
According to a press release from the Buffalo Lake-Hector School District, Buboltz topped all candidates with 86 votes while Anderson received 77 and Oldre received 44 votes. The next leading candidate received seven votes.
A total of 102 ballots were cast in the school board election. Fourteen candidates received votes in Tuesday's election.
Montevideo elects three to School Board

MONTEVIDEO -- In a four-man race for three open seats, Andrew Stenson, Gerry Wohlhuter and David Lipps were elected Tuesday to the Montevideo School Board.
According to information from the Montevideo School District, Wohlhuter received the most votes with 449 while Stenson tallied 391. Incumbent Lipps received 330 votes to retain his seat.
Incumbent Dennis Brandon lost his seat, receiving 240 votes.
Wohlhuter and Stenson are newcomers.
A total of 526 ballots were cast in the election.
