Renee Nolting named executive director of United Way

WILLMAR -- Renee Nolting of Spicer has been chosen as the new executive director of the United Way of West Central Minnesota.

Nolting will begin her new position on Feb. 14.

"Renee brings a wealth of experience to our organization in leading and supporting community programs," said Board President Steve Lykken in a news release. "She has great passion for serving our community."

Nolting most recently served as senior nutrition program manager for Lutheran Social Service where she supervised senior dining services and 44 staff in 22 counties. From 1990 to 2009, Nolting was the food service director of West Central Industries. She has also worked at the University of Minnesota and at University Hospital in various coordinator and supervisory positions. She earned a bachelor's of science degree in home economics, with business collateral, at the University of Minnesota in 1986.
