OLIVIA - Renville County and the Renville Soil and Water Conservation District will be holding public meetings concerning the Minnesota buffer law. The meetings will be at 9 a.m. Dec. 8 and at 1 p.m. Dec. 14, both at the Renville County Government Center in Olivia. The meetings will provide information on the law and what financial assistance is available for landowners.
The state buffer law requires a buffer on public waters by Nov. 1, 2017, and a buffer on public drainage ditches by Nov. 1, 2018.
