MONTICELLO — A Renville man was involved in a vehicle crash around 12:37 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 94 near Monticello, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the report, Timothy Jay Link, 56, of Renville, was westbound on I-94 when he began to slow down his 2005 International semitractor and trailer for traffic in front of him. The semi was rear-ended by a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Donald Eugene Tinney, 57, of Fort Morgan, Colorade.

While the report does not show any injuries to Link, Tinney was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis by a Life Link helicopter with serious injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and alcohol was not involved, according to the State Patrol.
