BIRD ISLAND -- Richard 'Dick' Haubrick, 66, of rural Bird Island died Saturday at his home after suffering complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Franklin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born on Sept. 20, 1941, in Norfork Township, Renville County, to Wallace and Viola (Zimmermann) Haubrick. He graduated from Bird Island High School. Then he managed a gas station in Olivia, drove truck, farmed and operated Haubrick's RV.
He married Joyce Greenslit on April 27, 1963, in Bird Island.

He is survived by his wife; daughters: Julie Machtemes of South St. Paul, June (and Bill) Vollmer of Morganand Joann Loken of Morgan; nine grandchildren; and sisters: Patricia (and Michael) Tisdell of Olivia and Judith (and Jess) Nolting of Richmond.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
