BENSON -- Richard Leroy "Dick" Braaten, 61, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of Benson, died March 7 at his home in Brooklyn Park.
The service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Zniewsk Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Burial will be at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Benson.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
He was born June 24, 1944, in Benson to Roy and Rose (Maras) Braaten. He grew up in Benson and graduated from Benson High School. He worked at the Red Owl Grocery Store during high school. He worked at Prudential Insurance Company in Plymouth as a computer systems analyst. He worked part time at Pheasant Run Golf Course.

He was a member of the Pheasant Run Golf Course.
He is survived by his sister: Jane (and David) Piechowski of Detroit Lakes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
