ROCHESTER -- The Ridgewater Lady Warriors softball team finished on the upswing Friday, defeating Lorain County Community College of Elyria, Ohio, 7-4 Friday.
The win gave the Lady Warriors (28-8) a seventh-place finish in the NJCAA Division III tournament.
The Lady Warriors, who lost twice on Thursday, piled up 10 hits while Calie Rittenour pitched the win, allowing nine hits and two walks, while striking out four.
Defensively, Ridgewater fielder's threw out three Lorain runners at the plate.
Rittenour's sacrifice fly tied it 1-1 in the third inning. A three-run fifth, keyed by Britney Glisczinski's two-run single, gave Ridgewater the lead.

Half of Ridgewater's hits went for extra bases: Kristen Hegna doubled twice, Patina Queenan tripled in the sixth, Heather Thoma had an RBI double and Brittany Ribar also doubled.
"We kind of stumbled coming out of the gate (on Thursday) and didn't play as well as expected," said Ridgewater coach Todd Thorstad. "But we're still a pretty young team."
The only sophomores on the team are shortstop Hegna, first baseman Glisczinski and center fielder Dorothy Saulsbury.
For Lorain, Kallie Moe and Sara McCool had two hits each.
Adi Bier took the loss, giving up seven hits and four runs over the first 42/3 innings.
Central Lakes of Brainerd also went 1-2.
