WILLMAR -- Ben Thonvold's pin at heavyweight capped a dominating performance by the Ridgewater College Warriors, crushing Minnesota West 37-6 Wednesday at the college.
Thonvold took just 50 seconds to pancake Reis Park, using an underhook to gain control and a cross-face to turn the Blujays' freshman.
It was Thonvold's third fall and eighth win in 20 matches.
"Everyone is good (in college)," said the freshman from Willmar. "Everyone wants to be here. I've had to learn to be better on my feet, tougher mentally and smarter about situations."
The Warriors won five of seven contested matches and received three forfeits.
