WILLMAR -- Tim Mattern sank a baseline three-pointer at the first-half buzzer for a one-point Ridgewater lead, but the second half belonged to Anoka-Ramsey.
The Rams outscored the Warriors 33-28 in the second half to take their first win in MCCC Southern Division play 67-63 Wednesday night at the Ridgewater College gym.
A sound first half by the host team crumbled in the second half. The Warriors committed 12 turnovers over the last 20 minutes, while making only eight field gosals.
"I think our first five possession of the second half we turned the ball over," said Ridgewater coach Bob Knutson. "The turnovers killed us and we missed some easy shots inside."
The Rams first division win makes them 4-12 overall. Willmar stayed winless and went to 3-11 overall.
