ST. CLOUD - Ridgewater College beat St. Cloud Tech College 5-4 in eight innings and Itasca 8-5 on Saturday at Faber Field in St. Cloud. Sunday's games with the same two teams were rained out.

The Warriors led 4-0 after three, but Tech rallied with single runs in each of the next four innings to send it into extra innings. Steve Wetterling walked in the Ridgewater eighth, was bunted to second and scored on Adam Schieck's pinch-hit double. Alex Stein threw three innings in relief of Ethan Vogt for the win. For Tech, Chris Beier and Justin Butkofski, both 2005 Tribune All-Area picks from Paynesville, compiled three of their team's six hits.

Every starter had at least one hit during a 13-hit Ridgewater attack. A five-run first was propelled by Jacoby Anderson's two-run single, a two-run double by Erik Dahl and an RBI single from Adam Schieck. Right-hander Ryan Krause went the distance for the Warriors on a six-hitter with seven strikeouts.
