PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Ridgewater and its opponent, Frederick Community College (Md.), combined for 51 hits in two games as the Warriors earned a split, beating Frederick 16-14 in the first game and losing 12-7 in the second game.
The Warriors (4-4) will play a doubleheader against Anderson (Ind.) Community College starting at 9 a.m. today.
Ridgewater 16, Frederick 14
Frederick scored 12 runs in the first three innings before Ridgewater put up six in the third for a 12-9 score. Seven more unanswered runs gave the Warriors a 16-12 lead.
Zac McCann led Ridgewater with four hits. He also drove in three runs and scored two. Jacolby Anderson went 3-for-3 with four runs, Zach Etter had three hits, three runs scored and two RBI, and Matt Marten had four RBI and a triple.

Adam Nilson picked up the win in relief of Ethan Vogt. Nilson pitched 4Xc innings, allowing four hits. Anderson pitched Zc innings for the save.

The Warriors hit two solo home runs -- Etter in the sixth and Travis Fluck in the seventh -- but Frederick scored six runs between the fifth and sixth innings to put the game out of reach.
McCann, Etter, Scott Rambow and Adam Schieck had two hits each for Ridgewater.
