WORTHINGTON -- The Ridgewater Lady Warriors rapped 24 hits en route to a doubleheader sweep of Minnesota West on Wednesday.
The Lady Warriors won the opener 9-1 behind a 15-hit attack and capped the sweep with a 8-7 come-from-behind win that was fueled by Jenny Berge's three-run inside-the-park homer in the fifth inning.
Laura Suter got the win in the opener, scattering seven hits in going the distance. She walked none and struck out two.
Julie Vosejpka was 3-for-5 and drove in a run for the Lady Warriors in the opener. Suter had two hits and knocked in three runs, including a two-run double in the seventh inning. Mallory Peterson, Suzie Zander and Ashley Spanier had two hits apiece. Jenny Berge had a two-run single in the first inning.
In the second game, Angie Flaten pitched five innings of relief for the win as the Lady Warriors rallied from a 6-3 deficit, scoring four times in the fifth inning. Flaten allowed three hits and one earned run.

Berge finished 3-for-3, including her home run that eluded the right fielder's diving attempt and rolled into the right-field corner. Ashley Spanier also had three hits and drove in two runs.
Ridgewater pitchers did not walk a batter all day.
"That really helped us," said Ridgewater coach Todd Thorstad. "Plus, there was a 30 mile-per-hour wind so it was even harder to pitch."
Rochester is one game behind Ridgewater in the Southern Division.
