AUSTIN -- Shawn Thissen and Dante Bogard each scored 17 points as the Ridgewater Warriors beat Riverland 63-52 for their first division win in Minnesota Community College men's basketball.
"We played our best defense and had our best shot selection and that's why we won," said coach Shawn Kopischke.
The Warriors made 22 of 43 shots. Thissen and Bogard were a combined 6 of 12 on three-point attempts.
Sophomore guard Wesley Kitt supplied six rebounds, four assists, two steals and nine points in what Kopischke called the Omaha native's best game yet.
Freshman Isaac Brehmer (Bellingham) had his biggest game, too with four points and six rebounds.

The Blue Devils, who beat Rochester Saturday, have a short bench and did all they could to slow the tempo.
