Summer detour begins today on County Road 41
WILLMAR -- A detour begins today on Kandiyohi County Road 41, north of Willmar, as construction crews finish a road project that was started last year.
The detour on County Road 41, sometimes referred to as the radio station road, extends from the north junction of County Road 24 to County Road 25.
Through traffic on County Road 41 will be diverted east onto County Road 24, north on U.S. Highway 71 and west on County Road 25.
Construction is scheduled to be complete on or before Aug. 1.

Duininck Inc. of Prinsburg is the prime contactor and Thielen Construction Company Inc. of Eden Valley is subcontractor for grading operations of the Project.
Meanwhile, final construction on the south section of County Roads 41 and 24 will be completed under traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down for their safety and the safety of the workers as construction continues.

County Road 137 closed today for work
ATWATER -- A section of Kandiyohi County Road 137, north of U.S. Highway 12 near Atwater, will be closed today while a culvert is being replaced.
According to the Kandiyohi County Public Works Department office in Willmar, the closure is located 2¾ miles north of Highway 12 in Gennessee Township. Crews will be replacing a 24-inch culvert.
The work zone will be closed to traffic during the project, which is expected to be completed sometime late in the day.
