MONTEVIDEO -- Robert Vernon "Bob" Mills, 60, of Montevideo died at his home in Montevideo.
The service will at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wing-Bain Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo.
He was born Dec. 14, 1944, in Montevideo to Lee and Florence (Sumner) Mills. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1963 and graduated from the Minneapolis School of Business. He worked in the loan department of a Minneapolis bank for four years and then moved to Sheridan, Wyo. He worked as a building contractor. He later returned to Montevideo and managed the family farms in Rosewood and Sparta Townships. He was licensed in real estate and bought and sold many homes in Montevideo. He served in the National Guard for six years. His health began to decline in July 2004, and he worked with the Chippewa County CFA agency.
He is survived by his son: Garrett Lee Mills of Grand Forks, N.D.; his mother of Montevideo; and siblings: Jane (and Roger) Andresen of Montevideo and Richard (and Jean) Mills of Edina.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
