FRANKLIN -- Roger Burnette Lund, 78, of Franklin died Monday at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Central Lutheran Church in rural Franklin. Burial will be at the Franklin Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born March 25, 1930, in Camp Township, Renville County, to Arnold and Julia (Lieske) Lund. He attended country school District 10 in Camp Township.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington. Then he farmed with his brother in Camp Township.

He married Jane Robertson on Sept. 25, 1956.

He married Delores Schroeder on March 1, 1986. He farmed with his son.

He was a member of the Franklin Lions Club, the Franklin American Legion and Central Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife; son: Loni of Franklin; stepchildren: Roger (and Paula) Rieke of Montana, Kenneth (and Diane) Rieke of Franklin, Duane (and Julie) Sander of Stacy, James (and Laurie) Sander of Bemidji, Rodney (and Sharla) Sander of Franklin and Dennis (and Lana) Sander of St. James; a granddaughter; 17 stepgrandchildren; and 27 stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother; an infant son: Lynn; and a stepson: John Sander.
