CLONTARF -- Roger DuWayne Maanum, 69, of Clontarf died Monday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at West Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hancock. Private family burial will be at West Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and will continue for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
He was born Aug. 10, 1938, in Benson to Harold and Arlene (Naig) Maanum. He grew up on a farm and attended country school in Pope County. He graduated in 1956 from Benson High School. He went on to attend Augustana for one year and the U of M in Morris for one year.

He married Merilyn Bearson on May 30, 1970, in Benson. They farmed in Hoff Township, Pope County, for a number of years. He was also was a county agriculture inspector for Pope and Swift counties for 21 years.
He was a life-long member at West Zion Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; one son: Karl (and Christie) Maanum of Minneapolis; two daughters: Kari (and Travis) Ballenger of Columbia, Mo., and Kirstin Maanum of Las Cruces, N.M.; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
