MONTEVIDEO -- Roger H. Roberts, 68, of Montevideo died Sunday at his daughter's home in Woodbury.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 4:30, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
He was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Ladysmith, Wis., to Harold and Emily (Drumm) Roberts. He grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wis. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School before serving in the United States Navy.
He married Carol Anderson. He lived in Minneapolis and Annandale before moving to Montevideo in 1979. He moved about seven months ago to live with a daughter in Woodbury. He worked at Moduline and Friendship Homes in Montevideo for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his children: Becky (and Rick) Norman of Montevideo, Julie (and Chad) Alsum of Woodbury and Rodney (and Lisa) Roberts of Montevideo; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother: Sam Roberts of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; two sisters: Joyann Springer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lynne Swevoda of Chippewa Falls, Wis.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Roberts, and an infant son, Rod Roberts.
