SUNBURG -- Roger Milton Cocking, 93, of Sunburg, formerly of Glyndon, died Sunday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Meadow Ridge Bible Chapel in West Fargo, N.D. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Glyndon.
Arrangements are with Korsmo Funeral Service in Moorhead.
He was born Jan. 15, 1913, in Manchester, Iowa, to Joseph and Katharine (Haltmeyer) Cocking. He grew up and graduated from high school in Manchester and then graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, with a degree in veterinary medicine. He practiced in Manchester until 1934, when he moved back to Ames to teach at the university.

He married Dorothy Brownbridge on July 14, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa. They lived in Ames for three years. They moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1951 He retired in 1967 and worked as a traveling preacher. They settled in Glyndon in 1980. Dorothy died in 1986. He moved to Sunburg in 1990.
He is survived by his children: Paul (and Anne) Cocking of Fort Collins, Colo., Jim (and Carla) Cocking of Guatemala, Dorothy (and David) Van Hal of Sunburg, Elizabeth Hathaway of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Jessie Edquist of Edina.
