WILLMAR -- Roger William Carl, 61, of Morris, formerly of Appleton, died Wednesday at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. Burial will be at the Appleton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton.

He was born May 17, 1945, in Appleton to Floyd Sr. and Evelyn (Anderson) Carl. He attended school in Appleton and graduated in 1963. He entered the U.S. Army in 1965 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. In 1969 he suffered a spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed. He was a resident of several care facilities and then returned to Appleton in 1975. He moved to West Wind Village in Morris in 1981.
He was a member of American Legion Post 72 of Appleton.
He is survived by two brothers: Dennis (and Becky) Carl of Appleton, Floyd Jr. (and Dorothy) Carl of Windermere, Fla.; two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
