APPLETON -- Rosella Marie Else Bergstad, 97, of Appleton died Tuesday at Appleton Area Health Services.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton. Burial will be at the Appleton City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by the Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton.
She was born June 30, 1910, in Tara Township, Swift County, to William and Ida (Holzheimer) Jagow, Jr. She graduated from Holloway High School in 1929. In 1932, she graduated from St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in St. Paul.
She married Oscar Bergstad on July 25, 1935. She worked as a registered nurse for several years in St. Paul, Benson and at the Appleton Municipal Hospital. She retired in 1975.

She is survived by three children: James (and Sharon) Bergstad of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Robert Bergstad of Lompoc, Calif., and Kathy Bergstad of Appleton; son-in-law: David L. Pederson of Nisswa; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1961; a daughter: Phyllis E. Pederson in 2003; and a grandson.
