BUFFALO -- The Willmar Cardinals had several top-10 finishes at the Buffalo Invitational on Saturday. Willmar took sixth with a 126.675 score in the meet won by Rosemount (140.05).
Freshman Kelsey Jacobson finished fourth on vault -- sticking her Tsukara pike -- for a 9.15 score. Junior Annalise Bratt took ninth all-around (33.5) and also ninth on floor.
Ashley Delp placed seventh on beam with a solid routine; otherwise the Cardinals struggled mightily on the four-inch bar.
"Our girls are sore and banged up after three meets in five days but they competed so hard," said Coach Larry Selchow. "We also have two starters out with injuries (Beth Pollock and Brooke Barrett). Seventh-grader Emily Minnick made her varsity debut and showed a lot of composure in two events. She got a lot of support from the entire team."
