MANKATO -- Ruby May Bennett, 91, of North Mankato, formerly of Lowry, died Feb. 22.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lowry.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Petermeier's Alexandria Funeral Care and Cremation Service in Alexandria.

She was born May 4, 1914, in Dooley, Mont., to James and Ellen (Owens) Robieson. She attended elementary school in Dooley and the family moved to Lowry in 1923. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1932. She received her registered nursing degree in 1941 from Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

She married Robert Bennett on Dec. 25, 1941, in Lowry. They lived in Lowry. She worked as a private nurse in the Minneapolis area during World War II. They returned to Lowry. She worked as a Tuberculin Team Nurse for area schools and as a registered nurse at the Starbuck Retirement Home in Starbuck. She moved to Mankato in 1997.

She is survived by her daughters: Lynn (and Bruce) Davey of Kasota, Robert (and Jerry) Hatalla of Woodbury, Sandra (and James) Gibbs of Madison Lake, Rebecca Lauters of Le Mars, Iowa; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six siblings: Clarence (and Ruth) Robieson, Francis Robieson, Doris (and Donald) Hoplin, Roy (and Pat) Robieson, Roberta Clayton, and Laberta (and Jim) Lyle.
