SOUTH HAVEN -- Ruby O. Strand, 90, of Buffalo, formerly of rural South Haven and Litchfield, died Monday at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lake Union Evangelical Covenant Church in rural South Haven. Burial will be at Lake Union Covenant Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangments are with Dingmann Funeral Care in Annandale. Memorials are preferred to Lake Union Evangelical Covenant Church.
She was born Sept. 22, 1916, in French Lake Township to John and Hulda (Anderson) Hasselberg.

She married Robert Strand on May 16, 1937, in rural South Haven. They lived in rural South Haven. Robert died in 1977. She provided home care to many neighbors and relatives. She moved to Litchfield in 2000 and then to Buffalo in 2002.
She was a member of Lake Union Evangelical Covenant Church, was a former president of the Lake Union Covenant Women, Sunday school teacher, caretaker of the church, and a member of Helping Hands community club.
She is survived by her brother: Rueben Hasselberg of Staples; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother and four sisters.
