COSMOS -- A 49-year-old rural Cosmos man died of injuries sustained in an accident yesterday evening southeast of Cosmos in Cedar Mills Township.
Emergency responders were called to the accident scene around 7:13 p.m. yesterday in the 58700 block of 110th Street on the report that Scott Duane Knacke was trapped in a piece of machinery, according to a press release from the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
Knacke was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis for treatment and later died as a result of his injuries.
The investigation is on-going and no foul play is suspected, according to the news release.
Responding to the incident were the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Cosmos Fire and Rescue, Cosmos Ambulance, Allina Ambulance and Life Link.
