LITCHFIELD -- Russell D. Hansen, 92, of Litchfield died Monday at the Lakeview Ranch in Darwin.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Litchfield. Burial will be at the Farmington Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield is handling arrangements.
He was born Dec. 14, 1914, in Castle Rock Township, Dakota County, to Harry and Anna (Mikkelson) Hansen. He attended country school in District 49. From 1936 to 37, he rented acreage near his father's land.
He married Elsie in 1939. They lived near Farmington. They moved to Orchard Lake in 1947 where he worked as a streetcar driver and later a bus driver for Metropolitan Transit Company for more than 30 years. They lived in Minneapolis for years and later moved to Bloomington. They retired and moved to Outing in 1977. In 1990, they sold their home and moved to Litchfield. They spent their winters for several years in Deming, N.M., Later, they moved to Alamo, Texas.

He married Donna Magoon in 2004.
He was a member of the Narrows Community Church in Outing, where he was in choir. He was a charter member of Emmaus Lutheran Free Church in Bloomington.
He is survived by his second wife; son: Loren (and Myrna); daughter: Iris (and Macaran) Baird; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters: Esther Hansen, Dorothy Pettis and Doris Kimber.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and two sisters.
