EDEN PRAIRIE -- Russell Hedlund, 92, of Eden Prairie, formerly of Edina, died Wednesday.
The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel in Minneapolis with visitation a half-hour prior to the service.
He was born June 14, 1913, in Kerkhoven to Charles and Julia (Odell) Hedlund. After living in Kerkhoven and Minneapolis, he moved to Willmar with his family and graduated from Willmar High School in 1931.
In 1939 he graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis with a degree in business. He then worked for Ernst & Young as a certified public accountant. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married Helen Olson in 1948 in Minneapolis. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Hopkins, Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, DeMolay Legion of Honor and American Legion Post 435.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Julie (and Tom) Seidelmann of Duluth and Kathie Hedlund of Mound; three grandchildren; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
