Jessica Rustad and Mark Desjardins are engaged to be married June 5 at Kerkhoven Lutheran Church in Kerkhoven.
Rustad is the daughter of Charles and Jean Rustad of Kerkhoven.
She is a 2001 graduate of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School in Kerkhoven and a 2005 graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield with a degree in biology. She received her doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Minnesota in 2009. She is practicing dentistry in Chicago.
Desjardins is the son of Jeffrey and Marilyn Desjardins of Shoreview.
He is a 2002 graduate of Frederic High School in Frederic, Wis., and a 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in chemistry. He is pursuing his doctorate of biopharmaceutical science at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
