HECTOR -- Ruth Augusta Wilhelmina Blad, 98, of Hector died Tuesday at Prairie View in Hector.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Palmyra Covenant Church in rural Hector. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Hughes Funeral Home in Hector.

She was born March 23, 1908, in Litchville, N.D., to Emil and Esther (Ryberg) Carlson. The family moved to Palmyra Township, Renville County, in 1913.
She married Moody Blad on Aug. 19, 1933. They farmed in Palmyra Township and then retired to Hector in 1968. She moved to Prairie View three years ago.
She was a member of Palmyra Covenant Church and active in church activities.
She is survived by her sons: Guste (and Adell) Blad, Paul (and Kathy) Blad, all of Hector; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother: William Carlson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and four brothers.
