MONTEVIDEO -- Ruth Elizabeth Rowberg, 90, of Torrance, Calif., formerly of Holloway, died Friday at Bridgewater Care Facility in Torrance.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in Our Redeemer's Lutheran Cemetery in Benson.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
She was born March 13, 1916, in Rockville, to Otto and Edna (Whitaker) Stehn. Ruth grew up and attended school in Holloway. After graduation, she attended St. Cloud Teachers College.

On June 18, 1939, she married Gilbert Rowberg, Jr. in Minnesota. They moved to Woodland Hills, Calif., where she worked as a teacher. They belonged to Woodland Hills Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Richard (and Nancy Jones) Rowberg of Falls Church, Va., Joanne (and Robert) Sturges of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Robert (and Carol) Rowberg of Camino, Calif., Thomas (and Juli) Rowberg of Hillsboro, Ore., and Kenneth (and Melissa) Rowberg of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Forsberg of Clarkfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005.
