GLENWOOD -- Ruth Sachs, 87, of Glenwood, formerly of Hancock, died Wednesday at Glenwood Retirement Village.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Glenwood Retirement Village. Burial will be at Horton Township Cemetery in rural Hancock.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the Glenwood Retirement Village. Arrangements are with Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris.

She was born June 10, 1919, in Tara Township, Swift County, to Herman and Elizabeth (Milz) Wente. She attended country school in District 16 in Stevens County.
She married Edgar Sachs on Oct. 21, 1936, in Horton Township. They lived and farmed in Fairfield Township, Swift County, for several years and then moved to Horton Township in Stevens County. They moved to a farm in Hoff Township in 1950. They retired from farming and later moved to Glenwood Retirement Village.
She is survived by three children: Darlene (and Jack) Christman of Glenwood, Roger (and Eileen) Sachs of Rosemount, Craig Sachs (and Connie Burns) of Hancock; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son: Duane Sachs; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and two brothers.
