REDWOOD FALLS -- Sandra Lee Fuhr, 60, of Redwood Falls died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Redwood Area Library Foundation or Southwest Minnesota State University Library Foundation. Arrangements are with The Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.
She was born on May 6, 1947, in Minneapolis to Dean and Patricia (McCormack) Sinclair. She graduated in 1965 from Wabasso.

She married Darrell Fuhr on Oct. 9, 1965, in Wabasso. She was a homemaker. In 1990, she received her bachelor's degree from Southwest Minnesota State University. In 1992, she received her master's degree in library science from Emporia State in Kansas. She worked as a librarian at Gustavus Adolphus College for seven years. In 2000, she started to work at the SMSU as librarian, an associate professor and chairwoman of the library services department.
She was a member of the Redwood Falls Presbyterian Church where she was an elder, clerk of session, Sunday school teacher and on various committees. She was also a member of Christian Women's Club, and for 25 years she spoke at many clubs throughout the Midwest. She served on the Redwood Area Library Foundation for nine years.
She is survived by her husband; chidren: Mark (and Deanie) Fuhr of Redwood Falls, Gretchen (and Tom) Fauskee of Willmar and Peter Fuhr of rural Redwood Falls; grandchildren; father: Dean (and LaVonne) Sinclair of Willmar; siblings: Michael (and Karen) Sinclair of Winsboro, Texas, Patrick (and Dorothy) Sinclair of St. Louis, Mo., Dean Sinclair of Bagdad, Iraq, Sheila (and Elvin) Snyder of Eugene, Ore., and Kevin Sinclair and Joan Woelfel of Wabasso.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
