Filing closed Tuesday for school board elections to be conducted during the general election in November. Candidates had until the end of the day Thursday to withdraw.
Candidates for races in several school districts in the region were published in the Sept. 11 edition, and the following information regarding races in additional districts was gathered from school officials Thursday.
Litchfield
LITCHFIELD -- Four people have filed for three seats on the Litchfield School Board.
Incumbents Brian Park, Stacey Helstrom and Karla Rick have re-filed, and John Mueller has filed for a seat.

Minnewaska Area
GLENWOOD -- Seven candidates are vying for four seats on the Minnewaska Area School Board.
Incumbents Dion Harste, Julie Gaffaney, Brad Parson and Heidi Roggenkamp will be on the ballot along with challengers Judd Kuehne, Jim Peters and Lonnie Hoffman.
NLS
NEW LONDON -- Seven people have filed to run for three seats on the New London-Spicer School Board.
Incumbents Mike O'Brien and Jeff Roguske have re-filed, and Todd Neumann, Dawn Weber, David Kilpatrick, Bonnie Kelman and Renee Nolting have filed.
Paynesville Area
PAYNESVILLE -- There will be at least two newcomers elected to the Paynesville Area School Board in November.

Incumbent Gretchen O'Fallon has re-filed for her seat, and Bob Bowden, Edward Gottwald and Dave Currens are seeking election to the board.
Bonnie Strobbe and Fern Roberg are vacating their seats.
